I LOVE going to the Gym every morning.
I seriously go every morning, except for sunday (if I didn't have church and the gym wasn't closed that day I would probably go to the gym sunday to.)
I know I'm weird that way but it is my outlet. I am one grumpy momma if I don't get to go to the gym. When I go I eat healthier, my mood is better, and i'm full of energy for the day.
HOWEVER
every once in a while the gym just isn't enough.
I need a night out on the town!
READY TO GO WITH MY WORKOUT GEAR BEHIND ME!
My husband has a full time job. He leaves at 7 AM to drive 45 minutes north of us to work and gets home around 5:30. We have three kids that keep us busy.
School will be starting and we will have football, gymnastics with them.
Then there's me. I am a musician. I live the life of a musician with children. I have my studio of private students. My own performance coming up in Les Miserable (my dream come true)! Then there's my church calling with the youth and my involvement in the community in a few different ways. I hardly see my husband. A lot of times I will start dinner, leave, he finishes it and feeds the kids. I come home right around bed time to get my hour on the couch talking with him.
On top of that I never get dressed up. I go to the gym and am in my gym clothes about 75% of the day when I finally take a shower just so I can go teach my students. I usually will put my jeans on a decent looking t-shirt and put my hair up in a messy bun. Makeup is optional lately. My husband doesn't get to see me all prettied up very often and it's kinda sad.
So last night I found a babysitter and we hit the town. (More like walk around old town which takes 10 minutes at night since all the shops are closed.) We went to dinner and just had a nice time. Then came home, put the kids to bed and had blackberry pie for dessert.
HERE ARE A COUPEL TIPS TO AFFORD A BABYSITTER
#1
Try to trade babysitting. Find another couple that has kids and trade. That way you don't have to pay for a babysitter.
#2
If you do have to pay for a babysitter make sure it's someone you know and your kids trust. You don't want to make them miserable on both ends.
#3
Make it convenient for your babysitter. If they want the kids to go to there house do that. If it's more convenient for them to come to you do that.
Also be home before the kids need to be in bed. Your babysitter doesn't know your routine and your kids most likely won't go to sleep for them really well.
