Running in the Rain!

So today my scheduled required that I workout in the morning. I loaded the kids up ran to the grocery store for milk, and headed over to the gym. I was met in the parking lot by one of the employees. She said, "Elise, I wanted to catch you before you got out of your car but the lady who is in the daycare today has a sick kid so there's no daycare." (I didn't know she knew my name) So i got back in the car frustrated that I wasn't going to be able to burn off my indulgence of a waffle with syrup on it.
After a little bit of a pitty party in my head I figured out the solution! Who doesn't love running in the Oregon Coast rain?! If you are a runner that's how your run is 90% of the time.
So I pulled out my trusty phil & ted double stroller locked the front wheel and went on a run. Now I won't admit my time but I did go 4 miles. If you can't go to the gym because of uncontrollable circumstances just go on a run with a jogging stroller with a five year old and 18 month old in it. You have to remember that in Oregon there's no such thing as a flat course. It will have a hill in it, if not several. You push a stroller up those hills all you have to do is tighten those abs and dig deep and you will feel a massive burn. And then when you get to the top of the hill and have to go down those back and arm muscles will get the workout trying to not lose control and fly down the hill with a puddle at the bottom.
It was and Awesome Run!

(This is seriously the best double stroller. It costs more than most strollers but I figured after my three strollers for different things, the jogger, the normal, the umbrella. It cost the same.
It's not twice as wide and when you don't need it to
be double you just take off the bottom attachment. Natalia is in the top and Mckylee is in the bottom. I usually have it the other way when we are on a walk but when we run and I lift the front wheel to turn Natalia being in the bottom makes it tip way to fast and to much. If you are interested in the stroller the best deal is normally through costco.com)
