Do you want to lift weights and gain muscle but don't know where to start? I'm that way and I am still trying to find a good balance for everything I do but I do have some good apps that I have come across. I will write several posts of apps that I use on a regular basis and hopefully they will help get you motivated and point you in the right direction like they have done for me.
The first one I would like to share with you is the Nike Training App.
This is what it will look like on your phones front screen
Now to break down the app. When you open the app and you click get workout you will see different types of workouts.
It explains exactly what you will be doing with everything. My favorite to do is "Get Strong". I am a firm believer in lifting heavy weights. I want to see my muscles and more muscles means more calories burned.
The get focused ones are good to. There are some really good ab workouts that are just killer on there.
Once you decide what you are going to do you click what level you are at.
We are all at different levels in our fitness. It's nice to have something that caters your fitness level. I will tell you though that even though I do the advanced workouts now I can still go and do a beginner workout and get a good sweat going. These workouts are not for the faint of heart. This app is for people who are serious about getting their fitness on and are up for a challenge.
There are other perks to this app. If you want a fitness plan. You can set one up on this app. It's a four week program and you can pick your level like always and what kind of workouts you want (get strong, get lean, get toned). It will then make up a calendar of what to do on what days and it will mix some running into the routine for you.
I use this app on a daily basis and I find it is probably my most used app on my iPhone.
